Für alle an der Materialität von Texten interessierten, hier der Hinweis auf eine neue Zeitschrift, die offen für Aufsätze ist (und kostenfrei open access veröffentlicht).
A call for papers from the Oxford ‘Centre for manuscript and text cultures’ for its new journal; as a German medievalist I am the “modern one” on the board which brings together specialists working on any form of material text ranging from Chinese oracle bones via Mesopotamian clay tablets and classical inscriptions to Icelandic parchment. Every year, two issues come out: one thematic issue (see below for the first two issues) and one open. The publication and the Centre are generously supported by various benefactors to make free open access possible for all submissions. I can recommend taking a look at issue 2 (see below) which also includes some interesting digital-born presentations of manuscript layout.
