In the framework of the Excellence Cluster 264 "TOPOI. The Formation
and Transformation of Space and Knowledge in Ancient Civilizations", the
following professorship is to be filled starting April 1, 2008:

W 3 Professor for the History of Science in Antiquity

Expected are a research emphasis in the history of ancient sciences, a
special interest in the history of methods and theories, and willingness
to take part in the instruction of the Department of Philosophy as well
as in the program of the Graduate School of Ancient Philosophy.

The applicant must fulfill the requirements for appointment as
Professor in accordance with § 100 of Berlin's University and College
Law.

The Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin strives to increase the proportion
