Zehnwöchiger Kurs für Graduierte mit Forschungsschwerpunkten im Mittelalter und der Frühen Neuzeit vom 20. April bis 27. Juni 2015 (SCRIPTO-Gastdozenten 2015: Charlotte Denoël, Paris, & Stefano Zamponi, Florenz).

Teilnahmegebühr / Registration Fee: 1380 € (darin enthalten sind Reisekosten und Unterkunft für Seminare außerhalb Erlangens; Einzelmodulbesuch mit reduzierter Gebühr ist möglich) / 1380 Euros (which includes travel and accommodations for seminars outside of Erlangen; taking part only in chosen modules * with the fee reduced * is possible).

SCRIPTO VIII * Kursbeschreibung (Please note the English version below)

Das SCRIPTO-Programm (Scholarly Codicological Research, Information & Palaeographical Tools) an der FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg strebt eine systematische forschungsorientierte Einführung in das Wesen des mittelalterlichen und frühneuzeitlichen Büchererbes an und bereitet auf dessen wissenschaftliche Erschließung vor. Es wird mit einem Diplom der FAU abgeschlossen.

Modul 1: Handschriftenkatalogisierung, Texttypologie & Mittellatein
Modul 2: Buchmalerei & Paläographie
Modul 3: Kodikologie & Inkunabelkunde
Modul 4 SCRIPTO digital: XML, TEI-P5 und Anwendungssoftware, Handschriftenbeschreibungen in TEI/MXML, Datenbanken & Handschriftendigitalisierung

SCRIPTO VIII bietet u. a. zusätzliche Forschungsseminare und Gastvorträge mit Prof. Dr. Charlotte Denoël (Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France) und Prof. Dr. Stefano Zamponi (Universität Florenz) sowie eine Handschriftenexkursion.

Der Unterricht findet in der Regel an 5-6 Tagen pro Woche in Erlangen statt, einzelne Modulteile auch in Nürnberg, München und Wolfenbüttel. SCRIPTO erfolgt in Zusammenarbeit mit der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek München, der Herzog August Bibliothek Wolfenbüttel, der Stadtbibliothek Nürnberg sowie der Universitätsbibliothek Erlangen.

Anmeldeschluß ist der 19. Januar 2015. Die Teilnahmegebühr beträgt 1380 € (darin enthalten sind Reisekosten und Unterkunft für Seminare außerhalb Erlangens; Frühbucherrabatt bis 16. Dezember 2014 & Einzelmodulbesuch sind möglich).

SCRIPTO VIII, 20 April - 27 June 2015

The SCRIPTO graduate programme (Scholarly Codicologi-cal Research, Information & Palaeographical Tools) at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nurem-berg aims to provide a systematic, research-oriented introduction to the study of medieval and early modern books and their interpretation. It combines research and instruction within the framework of a uniquely innovative course, each candidate will be awarded a diploma from Friedrich-Alexander-University.

SCRIPTO is made up of a broad spectrum of subjects and offers the following courses:
Module 1: History and principles of cataloguing, text typology & medieval Latin
Module 2: Book illumination & palaeography
Module 3: Codicology & incunabula studies
Modul 4 SCRIPTO digital: Informatics & digitizing medieval manuscripts

SCRIPTO VIII offers additional research seminars and lectures by Prof. Dr. Charlotte Denoël (Paris, Bibliothèque nationale de France) und Prof. Dr. Stefano Zamponi (Università degli Studi di Firenze) as well as a study trip to work with manuscripts.

Sessions will take place in Erlangen as well as in Nuremberg, Munich and Wolfenbüttel (in cooperation with the manuscript departments of the Erlangen University Library, the Public Library in Nuremberg, the Bavarian State Library in Munich and the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel).

The application deadline is 19 January 2015. Those applicants accepted to the course will be charged 1380 Euros (which includes travel and accommodations for seminars outside of Erlangen; reduced fee when booking early (deadline: 15 December 2014); taking part only in chosen modules is possible).
