Two positions as Early Stage Researchers in Medieval German have been advertised by the Modern Languages Faculty, University of Oxford, closing date 17 July 2009, to start on 1 October 2009 and tenable for 3 years, concurrently with registration on the university's doctoral programme (D.Phil.). The research topics are on 'Writing Saints' and 'Late-medieval Strasbourg' and are part of a larger network project entitled 'Mobility of Ideas in the Rhineland and Low Countries' funded by the European Commission. The salary is approximately € 25,000 to 30,000 per annum. Supervisors: Dr Almut Suerbaum and Prof Nigel F. Palmer.
