Medieval books of hours still reveal their secrets today as fascinating subjects of study. Medieval scholars, be they art historians, liturgical specialists or philologists, find much of interest in these artefacts. This publication offers descriptions of several books of hours whose owners have been identified by indicators such as their coats of arms. The bibliological notes also offer information on certain copyists which may be of assistance in uncovering new manuscript sources for the cultural history of the Middle Ages.
