Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, liebe Kolleg*innen,

von Montag, 7.10. bis Mittwoch, 9.10.2024 finden die Abschlussworkshops des
Projekts openCost an der Universität Regensburg statt. Im Rahmen dieser
Workshops wird das openCost-Team die erarbeiteten Ergebnisse sowie
Nachnutzungsmöglichkeiten für die Community präsentieren.

In einem Workshop am Montag, den 7.10., möchten wir mit Ihnen als
Repositorienbetreibende Möglichkeiten zur Implementation diskutieren. Ausgehend
von einer kurzen Darstellung der Implementation bei den projektbeteiligten
Einrichtungen sollen dabei Ihre Fragen im Mittelpunkt stehen.

Im Rahmen des openCost-Abschlussworkshops, der direkt im Anschluss am 8. und
9.10. stattfindet, werden wir unter anderem das openCost Schema präsentieren.
Darauf aufbauend demonstrieren wir Workflows und Umsetzungen bei den
Projektpartner*innen und zeigen Potenziale für Ihre eigenen Einrichtungen auf.
Neue Funktionen der EZB, welche im Rahmen von openCost entstanden und die
Prozesse in Ihren Einrichtungen erleichtern sollen, bilden eine weiteren
Schwerpunkt der Veranstaltung. Auch auf den Austausch von Daten der
Einrichtungen, die im Rahmen des DFG-Förderprogramms „Open Access
Publikationskosten“ an die Bibliothek des Forschungszentrums Jülich und an
OpenAPC melden, und deren Realisation im openCost Format wird eingegangen.

Der Workshop richtet sich an Mitarbeitende wissenschaftlicher Bibliotheken,
teilnehmende Bibliotheken am DFG-Programm „Open-Access-Publikationskosten“,
EZB-Anwender*innen, OA-Community, Repositorienbetreibende.

Ladies and gentleman, dear collegues,

from Monday, October 7 to Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the final workshops of
the openCost project will take place at the University of Regensburg. As part
of these workshops, the openCost team will present the results obtained as well
as possible subsequent uses for the community.

In a workshop on Monday, October 7, we would like to discuss implementation
options with you as repository operators. Based on a brief presentation of the
implementation at the institutions involved in the project, the focus will be
on your questions.

As part of the openCost final workshop, which will take place directly
afterwards on October 8 and 9, we will present the openCost schema, among other
things. Building on this, we will demonstrate workflows and implementations at
the institutions of the project partners and show potential for your own
institutions. The event will also focus on new functions of the EZB that have
been developed as part of openCost and are designed to simplify processes in
your institutions. In addition, the exchange of data from institutions that
report publication costs to the library of Forschungszentrum Jülich and to
OpenAPC as part of the DFG funding program “Open Access Publication Costs” and
their implementation in openCost format will also be discussed.

The workshop is aimed at employees of academic libraries, libraries
participating in the DFG program “Open Access Publication Costs”, EZB users, OA
community, repository operators.

Please make a note of this date, we look forward to welcoming many
