neuen Katalog für Spezialbestände geschaffen. Auf </span></b><a href="https://swisscollections.ch/"><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt">swisscollections.ch</span></b></a><b><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> können Handschriften, alte Drucke, Musikalien, Archivbestände,
Karten- und Bildmaterialien einfach recherchiert und bestellt werden. <o:p></o:p></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Ein spezialisierter Katalog für eine differenzierte Suche:
<a href="https://swisscollections.ch/">swisscollections</a> ist als Ergänzung zur nationalen Bibliotheksplattform
</span><a href="https://swisscovery.slsp.ch/discovery/search?vid=41SLSP_NETWORK:VU1_UNION"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">swisscovery</span></a><span style="font-size:12.0pt"> konzipiert. Sammlungen, Spezialbestände und Bibliographien werden neu in einem eigenen,
auf spezifische Bedürfnisse abgestimmten Layout angezeigt. swisscollections richtet sich somit gezielt an Nutzerinnen und Nutzer, die sich mit den lokalen historischen Sammlungen und modernen Spezialbeständen auseinandersetzen. Um diesen Anforderungen in der
Datenanzeige gerecht zu werden, greift swisscollections auf diverse Datenpools zu und funktioniert als Metakatalog.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Der Katalog swisscollections ist im Auftrag des gleichnamigen Vereins entstanden, wird von diesem betrieben und weiterentwickelt. Mitglieder sind gegenwärtig die Kantonsbibliothek
Appenzell Ausserrhoden, die Universitätsbibliothek Bern, die Kantonsbibliothek Vadiana St. Gallen, die Stiftsbibliothek St. Gallen, die Universitätsbibliothek Basel, die Zentral- und Hochschulbibliothek Luzern, die Zentralbibliothek Solothurn und die Zentralbibliothek
Zürich. Gehostet wird swisscollections an der Universitätsbibliothek Basel, während die Katalogisierung in der Regel bei den einzelnen Partnerinstitutionen erfolgt.
