Die Universität Oxford hat mir zum Amtsantritt eine Promotionsstelle zugesprochen und St Edmund Hall hat sich bereiterklärt, die erfolgreiche Bewerberin / den Bewerber für die drei Jahre zu beherbergen. Die Ausschreibung endet bereits am 15. März, so dass ich

for candidates wishing to commence doctoral studies in October 2015.<o:p class=""></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Trebuchet MS"" class="">The studentship was created by the University of Oxford to mark the appointment of a new Chair in German Medieval Literature and Linguistics. Oxford forms the
largest research centre for German Medieval Studies in the UK, with three permanent post holders, a lively graduate student community, and strong links to medieval studies across the disciplines, the Bodleian Library and to German research institutions, especially
the Universities of Freiburg and Bonn. Professor Henrike Lähnemann will be the supervisor for the D.Phil student, and it is expected that the successful candidate would want to work in a field related both to her research interests and to the specific strength
of Oxford German medieval studies, i.e. the relationship of Latin and vernacular, manuscript studies, editing, devotional writing or visual culture. An interest in interdisciplinary areas such as History of the Book or Digital Humanities would be a further

The studentship award can be held in conjunction with other sources of funding. Given the level of funding, it is expected that applicants would be normally resident in the E.U, though others are not excluded from applying.<o:p class=""></o:p></span></p>
