Gandersheim gelesen, und ich habe in Erinnerung, dass er eine Gründungsurkunde des
Gandersheimer Stiftes gefälscht hat. Es geht in seiner Chronik darum, die
Unabhängigkeit des Stiftes von den Feudalansprüchen des Hildesheimer Bischofs
historisch zu untermauern, und eine passende Gründungsurkunde dürfte demselben
Ziel gedient haben. Doch als ich in den letzten Tagen als Vorbereitung für
einen EMC-Artikel die Literatur noch einmal durchkämmt habe, fand ich nichts
dergleichen. Spielt mein Gedächtnis Streiche, oder kann jemand mich auf eine
